We need to move!

Rhonda reflects on camp: part 2

Itwas then that I completely realized my role at camp as the speaker that week. One would not have been there had I not invited her-she would not have been growing in her ability to hear God in alter time if God had not prompted me to have her lead. So my realization was- I was there to equip and empower her-I also felt I was there to listen in love and as the Spirit gave me the work- prompt adults toward God and confidence in their walk with God.

It was an incredible week of seeing God move. It was very apparent to me- God wanted to move in our midst- we needed to move out of the way quickly.

Then God gave me the task of listening to a pastor’s wife tell me her husband is abusive to her and struggles with pornography. I was not trained in counseling but I ‘ve been preparing “love of Christ” in my life. I prayed, listened and asked questions, encouraged her to get help… it was rough. It put fear in my heart-Lord cover and protect my family! Lord, place a shield, a covering, a protection around Rob and I. I will not live in fear! I will live in trust and faith.

We will press toward Christ! We will press toward holiness. Jude 1:24-Christ is able to keep us from falling. Eph 1:4-We are invited into Christ and made holy. THIS is God’s plan for our lives!
