Sometimes I grow weary!

I’ve been praying quite a bit for my relationship with someone. We really haven’t spoken since the May yard sale. I was so offended by her remarks. Quite a while ago, the Lord helped me see what she might be feeling or thinking. With those bits of Godly perspective I feel I have let go of much of my frustration. —I could be doing pretty well because I haven’t seen her for a while— I really want god to help me love her unconditionally… well, honestly, I love her unconditionally I just don’t like her unconditionally. In my book “A Love Worth Giving,” there was a quote, “Real love changes people.” When I read this, my heart lept with hope. I’m praying not only for her to change to be more like Christ in her thinking and feelings, but more for my heart to change. If I could see her more clearly, understand her more sincerely, I will be able to love her deeply enough that her behaviors don’t effect me so much. I feel like I have patiently waited for her to mature enough to be around… unselfish… her way only… and because of my awareness that age will bring some of that and her walk will bring this—I extend grace.

Sometimes I grow weary! And what if she never changes? Is there a way I am able to unconditionally like her? I need to figure that out too. I will keep praying… keep loving…

“Be careful. Don’t force what is wrong to be right… and until love is stirred, let God’s love be enough for you. There are seasons when God allows us to feel the reality of human love so we’ll appreciate the strength of His love.”—Lucado
