Sometimes it’s uncomfortable…

I’m having a tough time today. We’re headed to Rob’s family for a visit for a couple of days and then we’ll be off to my family for a couple of days.

I’m struggling to be kind and calm. As I pack the whole house-it seems- for Elk, Valpo, family reunion, play props, Rachel’s baby hand-me-downs and keep it clean for some folks who will stay at the house Saturday.. Just… UGH… everything’s under my skin. Lord-help me. It’s rough… I’m tired… irritated…

This ring I’m wearing to “be the love of Christ” is so uncomfortable and pokes my other finger and often my finger feels swollen in it. And I am reminded- the Love of Christ is not rude, easily irritated… His love is kind, though pushed to the limit. Loving through the whining supersedes the desire for peace.
